Terms & Conditions of Camera Hire

Whilst on hire all equipment is the responsibility of the customer and any loss or damage incurred must be repaid in full by the hirer. Scubacams reserves the right to withhold part or all of the deposit up to the value of the damage caused or the value of the equipment, whichever is the lower. If the insurance option is taken the deposit is returned when the insurance claim is settled.

  1. Scubacams does not accept liability for any Accident or Injury, which may occur whilst the equipment is in use.
  2. Customers are responsible for the care and routine maintenance of the equipment whilst in their possession.
  3. Scubacams does not accept any liability above and beyond the value of its hire charges. Customers are responsible for determining the suitability of the equipment for their purpose before hiring.
  4. In the event of equipment failure or damage through misuse or negligence, the customer will be expected to pay the cost of any repair.
  5. We recommend the customer should have adequate insurance cover to insure the equipment against any possibility of theft, loss or damage.
  6. Late return of the equipment is chargeable, the hire arrangement will only cease when the equipment has been returned in full. Please contact Scubacams should you wish to extend the hire agreement beyond the agreed hire period end date.
  7. Damage in transit must be reported immediately. We check that each piece of equipment is present and operational before despatch. We take no responsibility for loss or inconvenience caused by faults encountered during hire period.
  8. Cancellation will incur a £10 handling fee. Cancellation within four weeks of hire start date incurs a 50% charge of hire costs. If cancellation occurs within 48 hours of the delivery date, the hirer shall incur a cancellation charge equal to 75% the hire charge.
  9. Hire starts from the day after despatch or collection. All cameras are sent by Data Post with Parcel Force and will need signing for. Delays in signing for or collecting of the camera from Royal mail are the customers responsibility.
  10. Deposits are refunded after the equipment has been checked, and minus any amounts for damage, missing parts or overdue charges.

e-mail Attachment, Uploaded Files Policy By emailing files to SCUBACAMS(including any text, photographs, graphics) you agree, by submitting your contribution, to its possible use in any marketing campaigns, PR and such like by SCUBACAMS. We will never re-sell any files uploaded to use and will try (as much as possible) to give credit for any files uploaded.

If you do not want to grant to SCUBACAMS the rights mentioned above, please do not submit your contribution to SCUBACAMS.CO.UK.

Your Online Security All online payments are handled by PayPal, a world leading secure payments website, please read PayPal's buyer protection policy. No payment, bank, credit card details etc are held on any of SCUBACAMS systems.

Privacy Statement All data we hold about you is secured in an encrypted database, and will never be sold/disclosed to 3rd parties. We only use the data for direct marketing from SCUBACAMS.
